This week we have been granted access to the Bell Tower in St Deiniols Church in Hawarden, to try our hand at Bell Ringing. All the Scouts had a go at pulling the ropes and making the Bells ring above us in the Bell Tower. One of the Scouts was able to show us how it should be done, as he is a regular Campanologist who attends most weekends to make those bells peel!.

Later we also climbed the stairs to see those bells close up! Thanks to David Roberts and his wife Dilys for making this happen 🙂

The second part of the evening was spent hearing about the varied and interesting history of St Deiniols Church in Hawarden from Mr Richard Williams.
